And we're off!

I have now completed the first of the 50 challenges by watching "The Pacific", a 10 part mini-series following American marines in the Pacific. I had got this for Christmas after getting Band of Brothers last year(essentially the European version of The Pacific). I really enjoyed Band of Brothers but I had read that I would be slightly let down by The Pacific. I was. I mean, it was a good enough series and I'd recommend that you watch it but I found that characters lacked depth and even in the later episodes I'm thinking to myself "Do I know that person? Have they appeared before?". However, marks are made up for the fact that I found the last two episodes the best of the series. I would tell anyone to watch it, but if you haven't seen Band of Brothers, then I'd tell you to watch that instead.

1 down, 49 to go!

First Day of the Year - The Challenge Begins

On the 26th December I was asked if I would like to partake in a "Nifty Fifty" list. The premise is simple, you pick 50 achievable things that you think you can manage to do throughout the year and attempt to do as much of them as you can.

It took me a good few hours to compile a list of 50 things that I felt I could actually manage. It's a mixture of things I've done before, things I haven't done but look forward to doing and things that I'm not so much looking forward to doing, but I feel must be done.

Anyhow, this is my 2012 Nifty Fifty list;

Let's go!
